We can all have a tendency to put others first, but in doing so, we sometimes neglect our relationship with ourselves. My goal with Sussex Yoga is to help everyone who comes through the doors, to put focus back on your wellbeing and your goals and to help you improve your health, strength and flexibility through yoga. All from the lovely Ashdown Forest in East Sussex.

At Sussex Yoga, classes are small, friendly and supportive, making them ideal if you don’t feel comfortable in large studios or fast-paced environments. The focus is on gentle, mindful movement, relaxation, and helping you feel at ease in your body, whatever your age, experience or ability.

Private sessions are also available if you would prefer a more personal and tailored experience. You can book a one-to-one yoga session or a private crystal bowl sound bath meditation, both designed to support relaxation, recovery and overall wellbeing in a quiet, comfortable setting.

Many people come to Sussex Yoga because they are beginners, returning after injury, managing stress, or simply looking for a quieter, more supportive place to practise. You are always welcome here.

Improve your overall wellbeing with Sussex Yoga

Feel better in your body, improve flexibility, build strength and create a calmer, clearer mind with our personalised and small-group yoga sessions. Hatha Strength & Flow classes help you develop stability and confidence through gentle but effective movement, while slower-paced styles such as Yin Yoga allow you to release tension, reduce stress and restore your energy levels by working deeply into the body in a safe and supported way.

For those who prefer a softer and more restorative approach, we also offer Gentle Yoga, meditation, breathwork, Yoga Nidra and crystal bowl sound bath meditations, all designed to help you relax, unwind and reconnect with yourself. These practices are especially helpful if you are feeling stressed, tired, overwhelmed, or recovering from injury and need something more supportive.

All sessions at Sussex Yoga are suitable for beginners as well as experienced students, and everything is taught with options and modifications so you can work at your own pace. Whether you want to feel stronger, move more easily, sleep better, or simply enjoy some quiet time for yourself, these classes are designed to support you, your body and your personal journey.

Personalised yoga sessions in Ashdown Forest, East Sussex

My yoga studio is based in Maresfield, in the heart of Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, offering small, friendly yoga classes in a peaceful countryside setting. Sessions can take place in the studio, outdoors on the grass surrounded by trees, or on our beautiful sundeck during the warmer months, creating a calm and relaxing space to practise.

If you are not based locally, or prefer to practise from home, I also offer online 1-to-1 Zoom sessions, so you can enjoy personalised yoga, meditation or relaxation wherever you are.

You can choose between private one-to-one sessions or join one of the regular weekly classes, including our popular Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday sessions. Private sessions can include Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, breathwork, meditation, Yoga Nidra or crystal bowl sound bath meditation, depending on what your body and mind need most.

All sessions are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced students, and are especially popular with people who prefer a smaller, more supportive environment rather than large gyms or busy studios.

Whether you would like a personalised 1-to-1 session, an online class, or to join a welcoming group, there is something for everyone, and you are always free to choose the style that feels right for you.
