A cosy winter retreat to restore balance and calm

As winter settles in and the world turns inward, this half-day retreat offers a chance to reconnect with warmth, stillness, and self-compassion. Join us for a soul-nourishing journey designed to awaken your heart, restore balance, and leave you feeling calm, centred, and uplifted. Through gentle yoga, soothing yin, a heart-opening cacao ceremony and deep meditation, we’ll explore what it means to soften, slow down, and truly listen to ourselves — body, breath, and heart.

What to Expect

This retreat has been lovingly designed to support you through the quieter months of winter — a time for reflection, rest, and renewal. We begin with a gentle yoga practice to warm the body, ease away tension and encourage a sense of openness. A restorative yin sequence then invites stillness, allowing you to melt into deep release and relaxation.

After a nourishing vegetarian lunch, we’ll gather for a heart-opening cacao ceremony — a mindful, meditative experience using ceremonial-grade cacao.

Cacao, known as “the food of the gods”, has been used for centuries in traditional ceremonies to open the heart, enhance mood, and deepen connection to self and others. Rich in antioxidants and natural compounds that increase serotonin and dopamine, it helps us feel grounded, loving, and emotionally balanced.

During the ceremony, you’ll be guided through a gentle gratitude reflection, writing down three things you’re thankful for, followed by five minutes of silent meditation as you slowly sip your cacao. This simple yet powerful ritual encourages presence, self-love, and a renewed appreciation for life’s smaller joys.

We’ll end with a guided meditation and closing circle, helping you to anchor your intentions and carry the energy of warmth and connection into the season ahead.

Who is it for?

This retreat is suitable for everyone, whether you’re entirely new to yoga or an experienced practitioner. The sequences are gentle and slow-paced, with modifications offered to support all bodies and abilities.

If you’re looking for some well-deserved “me-time,” a chance to feel both stronger and calmer, or an opportunity to improve flexibility, build strength, and release tension, this retreat is for you. It’s also perfect if you’ve never tried yin yoga or face yoga and would like to explore these practices in a relaxed, supportive environment.

What is the cost?

The retreat cost is £68 and includes all classes, props, a selection of herbal teas, a fresh vegetarian lunch, fresh fruit, and healthy snacks. Once payment is made, your booking is confirmed. Please note that there are limited spaces, and space cannot be guaranteed until payment is made.

Is there free parking?

Yes, you can park on-site or nearby. All free.

Do I need to bring anything?

Mats and props will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own mat.

A water bottle is always good to bring, and you can also bring a soft blanket for Savasana, meditation, or relaxation.

Comfortable shoes or wellies if you want to go for a wander during break time.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation is available any time up until 14 days before the event. A full refund will be provided.

Cancellations within 14 days of the event will not be refunded unless the place can be resold to someone else before the day of the event.
