Nourish – A Sussex Yoga Retreat for Rest, Reflection & Inner Warmth
A Yoga Day Retreat in Maresfield, East Sussex
Nourish: A Half-Day Yoga Retreat
As the days grow shorter and autumn settles in, this cosy, nurturing retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and make space for rest, reflection, and renewal.
Through a gentle Hatha yoga practice, face yoga, breathwork, nourishing food, Yin yoga and a beautiful tea and candle meditation circle, we’ll explore the many ways we can nourish ourselves — not just through what we eat, but through rest, movement, connection, kindness and simply giving ourselves permission to pause.
There will be time to move, breathe, reflect, connect and rest, with plenty of space to simply be.
This retreat is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Everything is offered gently, with options throughout the practices so you can listen to your body and work at a pace that feels right for you.
What to Expect
A grounding Hatha Yoga Flow
We’ll begin with a warm, grounding Hatha practice that combines mindful movement, gentle strength, mobility, and breath. The focus is on feeling steady, supported and comfortable in your body rather than pushing or achieving.
Face Yoga
A short, relaxing face yoga practice to release tension and soften the muscles of the face, jaw and neck.
Breathwork
A calming breath practice designed to help settle the nervous system, quiet the mind and create a little more space within.
Nourishing Vegetarian Lunch
A wholesome vegetarian lunch with herbal tea, followed by time to chat, connect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Nourishing Circle – Tea, Reflection & Candle Meditation
We’ll come together as a small circle with a warm cup of herbal tea and candlelight. Through gentle guided reflection, we’ll explore what nourishment means to us at this point in our lives — what we need more of, what helps us feel supported and where we might offer ourselves a little more kindness.
We’ll then settle into a peaceful candle meditation, using the gentle glow of the flame as a reminder of warmth, steadiness and our own inner light.
Yin Yoga
A slow, deeply restful Yin practice to soften, release, and restore. The practice will draw on the themes of the Water element and the Kidney and Bladder meridians, encouraging rest, grounding and the conservation of energy as we move into the quieter months.
Closing Meditation & Sound Bath
We’ll finish with a calming guided meditation before moving into a relaxing sound bath. Simply lie back, let go of effort and allow yourself to rest and receive.
